Professional Life

Dr. Landry began his career as an assistant in the Mood and Emotions Lab at the University of South Florida. After graduating with his Bachelors degree he worked for a year in private practice at a family psychiatry practice providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and lifestyle consultations (nutrition, exercise, and sleep) before moving to Chicago for graduate school. 


Dr. Landry was trained in diagnostic assessment at the City Colleges of Chicago where he provided intellectual, educational, personality, and projective testing; he was trained as a psychotherapist at A Safe Haven Foundation where he conducted group and individual treatment to clients experiencing homelessness, addiction, legal issues, complex trauma, physical/sexual/emotional abuse, gang violence, poverty, and neglect. He also participated in developing a program for homeless veterans. 


His residency and post-graduate work took place in the California Community College District where he provided assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, and community outreach to people facing undocumented status, lack of basic resources, physical disabilities, severe mental health concerns, anger issues, relational trauma, sexual/emotional abuse, relationship concerns, life purpose and meaninglessness, career concerns, and environmental stress.


He has had relationships with clients from many different ethnicities, faiths, identities, orientations, and economic statuses. He has also worked-with many clinical presentations: anxiety, depression, adjustment, bipolar, suicidality, self-harm, attention-deficit, post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive, avoidant, and emergent psychosis.  


Dr. Landry was a co-author of an anti-violence and youth empowerment program for high school students and was also involved in support groups for the Wounded Warrior Project. He has done several presentations on different components of mental health: nutrition, exercise, routine setting, mindfulness, school curriculum, identifying mental illness, and nature-bathing. He has also been a panelist for conferences on teen suicide and depression.

Dr. B plays, writes, and produces music in his free time.
